The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival annual music and arts festival organized by Goldenvoice held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. The event features many genres of music including alternative rock, hip hop, and Electronic music as well as large sculptural art. The event has several stages/tents set-up throughout the grounds, each playing live music continuously. This year's edition will be held over two weekends (April 12-14 AND April 19-21).

Blur, Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers are to headline this year's Coachella festival in California.
Joining Damon Albarn and co on the first night of the event, which takes place over consecutive weekends in April, will be the Stone Roses. The band will be playing their first US gigs since re-forming in 2012.
The lineup has a heavy UK presence, with performances promised from the xx, New Order, Hot Chip, Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy Clyro, Foals, Franz Ferdinand, Jessie Ware, Jake Bugg, James Blake and Johnny Marr.

One British act not making an appearance are the Rolling Stones, whose Mick Jagger said this week that the festival had come too early for the band. "There was a rumour we were gonna do that one," he told NME, "but it's very early, Coachella. It's April or something, isn't it? And we're not gonna be ready to go by April. But we're not gonna stop."
Last year Coachella was headlined by the Black Keys, Radiohead and a special performance from Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, which saw Tupac Shakur appear as a hologram.
Coachella has been held in the desert near Palm Springs since its 1999 inception. The festival recently staged a mini-festival on a cruise ship.
The 2013 festival takes place on 12-14 April and 19-21 April.

2013 Festival Passes On sale Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10:00am PT

A festival pass is one wristband, good for the entire weekend that you purchased. All passes are General Admission. All people attending the festival must be wearing their pass upon arrival. You will NOT be allowed to enter any parking, camping or festival areas without a festival pass. NEW for 2013: Prices below include all fees & domestic *shipping. What you see is what you pay. Please review the general info below.

      - Festival is all ages; children age 5 & under are free.
      - No Refunds / No Exchanges / No Cancellations.
      - Passes are only valid for the weekend you purchased.
      - Wristbands void if tampered or removed.
      - No switching weekends
      - Festival passes are LIMITED to 2 per billing address
      - Rain or shine
      - Parking during the festival is free (9am-2am) No overnight
      - NO RV/Motorhome camping or parking.
      - DON'T BUY from a 3rd party/Scalper. No service, authentication or guaranteed support for passes purchased from a third party/scalper.
      - International "will call pick ups" are NON-transferable.
    • - You must buy a festival pass in order to buy a car/tent camping spot.
      - Anyone camping onsite must have a festival pass.
      - Onsite camping is 18 + unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
      - Tent/Car camping spots are limited to 1 per order.
      - Companion camping parking passes are limited to 1 per order.
      - Camping spots are NON transferable and will ONLY work with the festival passes they were purchased with (first one in).
      - Original purchaser name can not be changed.

Camp next to your car in a 10x30 spot. This pass is for your car/spot. Everyone camping in your spot will need a festival pass. A car is required to be in your spot. There are a limited number of VIP passes available for purchase. A VIP festival pass allows access to the VIP areas. The main VIP area is located adjacent to the main stage (under white peaked tents) and consists of shaded areas, picnic tables, couches, extra restrooms, food & beverage vendors and a full cash bar. The second VIP area is located directly next to the Sahara tent in the beautiful Rose Garden complete with seating, extra restrooms, food & beverage vendors, full cash bar, a spectacular view and thousands of roses. VIP Parking is sold separately.
